Hello! Today, I wanted to talk about how different the levels of learning choreography are, and what to expect.
Starting off, you are most likely placed in the Beginner level of dance. Within this level, you may be limited to certain turns, leaps, and simple choreography. Depending your age, it may already seem very complicated/difficult, but surely enough, you will get the hang of it. You need to make sure you rehearse the choreography, as well as pay attention in class and to your teachers notes.
Next, you may be moved into/ placed into the Intermediate level of dance. Knowing how the Beginner level was, you may think that it will be the same with a few new tricks. Mostly, it will be made up of things that you learned in previous years, but you will be introduced to new choreography, and new teachings. You may start understanding stress factors from dance, but you need to understand that everyone learns differently, as well as making sure you practice your choreography.
After these levels, you may be placed into the Advanced level of dance. In this level, you may be put under of a lot of stress from rehearsals, and your own personal doubt. In this, you may have a lot of new choreography thrown at you, and you may have to learn at a faster pace than before. Remember, you may have to teach yourself at your own speed, and you might have to reach out to your teacher and ask questions.
These notes are based off of my own personal experience. They may not be the same for everyone. I hope you've enjoyed my blog post, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
