Digital Media Infographic

Hello, and welcome back! This week for my digital media course, we were introduced to Infographics. Because I wanted to take the same approach as my blog, I decided to create an infographic that was centered around dance.

So, located above is my Infographic. When I think of ballerinas, I think of pretty colors that gradient into a black, which is where I got my idea for the wine red. When I was brainstorming ideas, I definitely created a broad topic, which was just "dance." I then narrowed it down to a couple of ideas, but I ended up choosing "Costs in a single season."

After I chose my topic, I began to collect my data and my sources so that all I needed to do was provide visuals. I chose my color combination first, then I began to grab ahold of other visual elements. When choosing my visuals, I knew that I wanted to add curves, to represent motion, and then images that correlate to dance. I do wish that I added more visuals, it feels a little plain, however I feel that with the Infographics I chose, it feels sleek, and professional.

Overall, I really did enjoy making this Infographics, I wish I had included more visuals, but I feel that for making an Infographic for the first time, it is not bad at all.
