Hello, and welcome back! Today, I wanted to be able to inform you about the stretches you can perform to help improve flexibility throughout your body.
We all know the feeling after the dance recital. We stay out of the loop of dancing until next semester begins. We stop stretching, because we have the summer for all of the fun right? Then the next semester rolls around, and we realize just how out of the loop we are with dance.
Some of the stretches we were taught can actually be useful outside of the classroom. They help us maintain flexibility, and retain full range of motion in our limbs. Along with this, stretching helps us clear our mind, like yoga.
With stretching, it is important to understand your body's limit. Gaining flexibility isn't something you wake up having, you need to work hard towards it.
Some stretches I use to maintain flexibility are:
Touching my Toes (standing or sitting position). I use this to help maintain flexibility in my back, as I am usually hunched over my computer completing work. With me being hunched over my work, I end up with back strains which are really difficult to work through, but touching my toes help me push through the strain. It also helps gain flexibility in your legs.

V-Stretch (sitting position). I use this stretch often for flexibility in my legs. Along with me hunched over my desk and computer, my legs are either sitting crossed on my chair, or they are hanging off of the chair. With this, I normally get cramps in my thigs or my calves. Performing this stretch helps me maintain flexibility in my thighs and knee area.

Overhead V-Stretch (sitting position). Along with the V-Stretch, the Overhead V-Stretch has a variety of positions you can perform it in. I normally use this position for flexibility in my sides of my torso, and my legs. This stretch can help if you have side strains, as well as thigh/groin strain.
These are just a few of the stretches I use to maintain flexibility. I hope you have a great day, and that these stretches come in handy in your daily life as well! Thank you so much for viewing this blog post!
